Her blog is definitely one of my favorite things, but today I'll share another one.
My wood burning stove.
It's winter here on this side of the world, and so far it's been colder than normal. And to be honest - I don't like it. I hate to be cold, and much prefer summertime.
But my wood stove makes it bearable, and even enjoyable. It warms the whole downstairs of the house. It has that great "fire-burning-in-the-fireplace" smell. You can even roast marshmallows in it. What's not to love???
So that's it. My first Favorite Things Friday!

Warmth from a woodburning stove...a fabulous favourite! Thanks for sharing. Glad to meet you. Happy FTF! :o)
Jealous here! I would love to have a wood burning stove. Of course in Southern California I guess I don't have much need for one. I'd still like it though.
Glad you enjoy yours!
I love wood burning stoves, I used to have one but rarely needed it and carting wood upstairs to burn was definitely not one of my favourite things, so out it went. I still miss it, sigh!
Great to meet you on your first FTF!
I bet it smells great in your house! How do you keep it so clean?
When we go to our cabin we burn wood exclusively, but here in our home it's mostly for the ambiance! :)
Waving madly at AMW. Welcome to FTF!!!!
Arent wood stoves fabulous. My folks had two in their farm house and one in the house before that.
There's nothing like feeling warm and toasty from a wood fire, and they make your house smell divine. We used to chuck potatoes wrapped in foil in the fire and munch away when they were done.
Im enjoying warmer weather but will probably recall your wood stove when the cold hits here in a few months and then wish I had one.
Thanks for linking up to FTF this week.
I've never had a wood stove (and now that I live in California I don't have a need for one), but I think they are great! I hope you stay nice and toasty!
Thanks to everyone who stopped by today! What a fun thing to do... I tried to get by all of your blogs today too, and if I didn't, I'll get there this week!
It's really too hot here for a fire of any kind but we had one in our last house anyway !!Nothing better. We would open all the windows and doors so we didn't get too hot !!!
Cheers
Helen
